    Myfip eBay Worm Spreads
    10.27.04 (2:34 pm)
Myfip, a worm that steals computer files off of infected machines and emails them to others, is being sent via email disguised as official eBay business. This worm was first first noticed a month ago and is now beginning to spread.

The email asks recipients to participate in multi-item auctions that may result in the awarding of high ticket items.

As with all spoof email, eBay members are again warned that eBay will never ask for your password or any sensitive information in an email. Members are also advised to never engage in solicitations outside the eBay marketplace.

    Overstock Auctions O-Lister Review
    10.19.04 (12:48 pm)
Overstock Auctions has introduced O-Lister, a bulk lister that enables its users to conveniently create and store their auction listings, uploading them to Overstock later.

The tool works much like eBay's Turbo Lister, providing users with a handy HTML editor and one-click functionality for adding images to auction listings. The O-Lister also provides a preview function and its navigation is extremely simple. Once users have created their listings, they simply upload them to their inventory folder, then upload them to Overstock Auctions. Users even have the option to check listing fees before loading their listings.

The O-Lister's HTML editor needs a little work. Users find themselves unable to use html code to add images to their listings anywhere they wish. In addition, users must first visit Overstock Auctions online and log in before they can open the O-Lister, unlike eBay's bulk lister which has its own built-in log in feature.

I found the O-Lister very easy to use, even though there are several features that will need some tweaking in the future.

StocRoom Helps eBay Sellers Save Listing Fees
    10.05.04 (1:20 pm)
by Genia V. Stevens A new service called StocRoom helps eBay Sellers save time and money. This third party auction service allows sellers to store their items in an online warehouse of sorts, list the item only when a buyer wants to make a purchase, and pay listing fees only when the item sells. Sellers rent online warehouse space for on a monthly basis and upload their entire product line. When buyers see a product they wish to purchase, they click the BidBuy button and transfer the product to eBay. The buyer then has first option to bid or buy the item. All payments are made on eBay and both the buyer and the seller receive eBay feedback once the transaction is complete. Rental space starts as low as $5.95 per month. The www and Your Google Pagerank
    by Genia V. Stevens
I sold a text link to one of my advertising clients on TheAuctionBoard's main page. My auction ad stated that my website's main page had a Google pagerank (PR) of 6. After the client was informed that his link had been placed, he visited my website to verify the placement, and responded with this:

When looking at your website it is showing me a 0 PR. Can you explain this or clarify the error?
